Haptic Glider. We have finally reached the possibility to express music in a different way. We have been following, with linear thought, the melody of strings. Then, at the same time, scalar thought, gave birth to frets, notes, holes and instruments of different sizes. 88 notes, on a piano, and 108, up to unlimited ones, in modern systems that include Hertzian fragmentation into quantized units of time/oscillations. Then, going back to drums, and percussion instruments, connected to a more clear way to produce bending by applying pressure, We went back to the start, and started sampling anything We could, to be used as a new digital quantized reality, based on packets of data. Today, moving to higher dimensions, this concept, has moved upwards towards planar surface and spatial environment. Here the musician is allowed to play, by using his hand on a flat sensible haptic screen, that I have used to play this work, were pressure and gradients, together with positioning and programming, make the difference. So, this Work, "Haptic Glider", is in fact a way to discover new possibilities, whilst enjoying life, testing a new path that shall free man from physical keyboards as we know them. Just enjoy the ride. Here, You shall find ancient scales, that are related to our past, and mechanical drums, that are related to poor programming skills, that still try to hold the listener in the cortex, although, mind, by moving in a different way, as You shall hear and see, shall move on. It is the first experimental work of this kind, created as soon as touchscreens reached our reality and programmers first, then, me, found time to work on this new opportunity. This kind of creative exercise, shall still give the listener the opportunity to meditate, but in a different way, that has to do both with analogical and digital world coming in close contact. Last tracks are quite bizzarre, bet nevertheless, a language is starting to appear there too. We shall see. If You want me to test any kind of new instrument or invention that can be played, just let me know. I might be able to help You before you program the machine in a nonsensical way, from the musical point of view of course. Moving from multi linear to a flat bi dimensional world. Jedi Simon
